AIMS AND VALUES
We want every child to achieve the best they can!
Roding provides children with a broad and balanced education and we aim to fulfil their needs in a stimulating and caring environment. Children, staff and parents work actively in partnership to enable all children to realise their potential within the school. With this in mind, all children and adults are valued, respected and welcomed to the school. We encourage children to develop personal qualities such as responsibility, self-discipline, self esteem and co-operation thus equipping them for life in the future. Learning is fully supported to ensure that they are fully included in all aspects of school life.
At Roding Primary School we continually monitor the progress of all the children. Each half term we have pupil progress meetings to evaluate the ongoing assessment of all children and identify appropriate interventions to ensure that they meet their potential in all aspects of the curriculum.
Interventions are utilised for children of all levels and abilities, whatever their additional education need may be.
Within the school we strongly believe that all staff share a responsibility for the children's welfare and the delivery of the curriculum, although your child/ren's teacher is usually your first point of contact. Work is planned collaboratively within the year groups, with close liaison, communication and support from our Classroom Assistants. During planning, staff from other areas of the school may be utilised to provide additional expertise, knowledge and experience to ensure that all work is relevant and well matched to the learning and development needs of the children. In this way, we are able to utilise the strengths of a large staff team and enhance the quality of the learning and teaching across both sites of the school.
We aim to maintain good liaison with parents, the local community and other stakeholders. We welcome your interest and positive involvement.
